Update / Reconstruction Project
This is a summary to date of the estimated time of the project should start and be completed. This site will be continued to be updated throughout the process. The Village of Monee & Iroquois paving is asking residents to please drive safely during this construction season. Detour signs may change often and you should be aware of potential route changes in your day to day travels. Also, do not confront the contractors while construction is underway. With dangerous work conditions and sometimes elevated temperatures outside, they cannot have distractions such as this that could potentially injure the workers or residents within the construction zone. We thank you for your patience. No construction shall take place before 7am. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Joe McGuire from IROQUOIS PAVING @ 708-926-4116.

Nicor crews will be on site tomorrow 8/9/2016 at 10 am to continue lowering conflicting residential gas services. Nicor will continue on Wilson St. and work over to Roosevelt.
No work completed today.
Construction is still at a halt due to Nicor Gas conflicts. The gas service lines that go from the gas main to a number of residential houses on Wilson and Roosevelt St. are directly in conflict with the new storm sewer installation . Thanks to the hard work from the Mayor’s office, Public Works & Tyson Engineering, we have been able to get Nicor to begin lowering the service lines on Wilson on 8/2, 8/3 &8/4.
As of 8/5, Nicor has not completed the adjustments with no ETA for completion. Monee staff have had several conversation with Nicor and hope to have resolve on completion by Monday for construction to return to the area.
The problem we experienced continued with Nicor and adjustments this past week was due to other Nicor Emergencies in which they had to pull off service conflicts to attend to those matters. IPC has been on site with Nicor during the lowering of services and monitoring the progress to better plan head for when D construction returns to the area.
Please understand that the utility delays experienced were by no means expected from Nicor or Comcast as both parties had given the project an “all clear ” before this project began.
No work completed today.
At the end of the day 8/3, Nicor has 4 out of 6 gas lines lowered on Wilson. Nicor is scheduled to come back today but is not guaranteed. Nicor is hoping to be done with Wilson tomorrow and get started on Roosevelt as well. IPC will be on site mid day to straighten up a few areas, and run are street sweeper around.

Both Comcast and Nicor have there lines in the way of the new sewer.
