The Village of Monee police department employs a staff of 19 whose mission is to protect and serve the citizens of the Village of Monee; to prevent crime; to uphold the law firmly and fairly; to pursue and apprehend those who break the law; and to do so with, honor, virtue, and sound judgement.

Solicitor Permit
In an effort to guard the public safety of the community, the Village requires solicitors to obtain a permit (signed by the Police Chief) prior to attempting to solicit residents. Solicitors may be granted a permit if they pass background check, review of intentions, and other criteria. The permit is only good for the days specified and should be presented to resident upon request. If a solicitor does not honor the expectations of conduct as set forth by village ordinance then the permit will be revoked and they may be subject to appropriate consequences. If a solicitor (other than religious or political) comes to your door uninvited and without valid permit then you can contact the police.
