Emergency Management Agency
In the wake of 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, The Oklahoma Tornado of 2013, and the Boston Marathon Bombing; Emergency Management Agencies at every governmental level play vital roles during an emergency disaster response. Monee has recently created a Village ordinance creating its own Village Emergency Management Agency. The Village EMA will work closely with the local emergency response agencies in and around the Village along with the area businesses, churches, and residents to develop detailed procedures and preparations in the case of an emergency or disaster. This is a voluntary agency consisting of area residents that are currently employed in the emergency first responder field, or simply residents that wish to volunteer their time to help their community in a time of crisis. Anyone wishing to be part of the team please contact the Village Hall at 708-534-8305.
