The Human Resources Dept. takes a leadership role and provides services in support of the Village of Monee’s vision by promoting the concept that employees are our most important asset and that each employee’s unique contributions directly impact the growth and success of the village and our community. Human Resources supports the Mayor, Trustees, and staff in hopes that all of our employees take pride in being a member of the Village of Monee’s team.
The mission of the Human Resources Department is to support the goals and challenges of the Village by providing services that promote a work environment that is characterized by fair treatment of staff, safety and security, open communications, personal accountability, and that each employee is treated with honesty and dignity. The Human Resources department seeks to provide solutions to the Village by ensuring that the staff is provided the tools, training and motivation to perform work in the most effective and efficient manner.
Human Resources seeks to provide solutions to work place issues that support and optimize the principles of the Village while maintaining the Village’s compliance with employment and labor laws, Village directives, and labor agreements. As a Human Resources Department we seek to retain, promote and recruit the best qualified people, recognize our people for their accomplishments, and to establish practices that treat employees with dignity and equality.
